Bright Blackout

This amazing black and white picture was taken during cold winter in Central Park, New York. For the record, this is one of the best pictures I have ever taken in my life. What I express with this photo is of how nature can be present in a busy city, with dramatic reflections on the quiet lagoon located at the North side of the park. I had two versions of this photo, one was with color and the other was this black and white one, I chose the black and white because I felt more drama and tense and better reflective than the other version, I also chose to do a long exposure so I get more smoothness in the lagoon. When taking this picture, my tripod was on the water, before deciding the angle of the frame, I walked around to see the best option, because there were people there, some of these angles were not possible to make and it would distract or divert the meaning of this photo, and finally found the right perfect place, nobody would get that closer to the water, and put myself into it, It took me some time to get the settings ready and to prepare my additional equipment such as my wireless remote and tripod. It was also one of the best experiences when taking the photo, the place where I stood was if front of all the people watching me capturing the amazing sunset there was, it was really calm, people eating, children playing, people happy, a guy playing a good song on his old acoustic guitar, it couldn't be better.
